Before you delete your original vista and format the disc, please backup the system(vista, and recovery data from Lenovo). Make sure you preparing the driver for windows xp is the most important thing to begin the following steps.
1. install windows xp
2. install Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver for Windows XP
3. Restart, change the BIOS SATA device to AHCI
4. install drivers
5. backup the system disc
6. install the application
7. backup the system disc include the os and applications.
8. enjoy x61's life
